lasting effects. I would lose a few pounds and quickly regain it when
my "diet" ended.
I also noticed something more disconcerting and disturbing than just
the weight coming back.After every diet I went on ended, I learned new
and unhealthy eating habits. After a particularly long packaged food
diet program that left me weak and out of breath, I began binge eating.
I would eat astonishing quantities of food in one evening. This
affected my body so much that I started falling sick more often. I was
often unable to sleep properly at night and woke up weak and exhausted
in the morning. When I went to the doctor for an annual checkup she
told me that my blood triglycerides were too high and that my
cholesterol was above normal. Here I was a young woman age 25 with
health problems of a much older person! That was my wake up call.
That's when I knew I had to stop the madness of dieting for weight
loss.
